I have OCD, but for more than 20 years those words were difficult to say. Now, however, I’m open about the disorder and don’t mind discussing my personal story. I write about OCD in other venues and occasionally do stand-up as a way to run away from my brain. There’s something about performing that makes a person extremely focused; I consider it a form of mindfulness. At any rate, I hope to take a serious but lighthearted look at OCD in these posts.
